Local & Ethical

Hi, I’m Catherine — a mama of three who believes clothing should make life easier, not harder

About Me

Motherhood changes everything — especially our bodies.

After having my babies, I remember looking in the mirror and hardly recognizing myself. I desperately wanted to feel beautiful again in my new body, but nothing I tried on seemed flattering. And when I searched for breastfeeding-friendly clothes, I was met with the same choice over and over again: either feel put-together, or have easy access to feed my baby. I didn’t want to compromise anymore.

That longing — to feel confident, feminine, and comfortable while still being able to nurse with ease — is what led me to create Holly Rose Co.

Every dress is designed with thoughtful details like invisible zippers, soft organic fabrics, and timeless silhouettes that flatter changing pregnant and postpartum bodies. Because we deserve clothing that makes nursing effortless and helps us moms feel beautiful, not hidden away.

This collection is for every mom who has ever stood in front of her closet wishing she could simply slip on something that feels good — and still makes pumping or feeding her baby easy.

With Holly Rose Co., you don’t have to choose between style and function. You get both.

Slow fashion

Slow fashion is at the heart of Holly Rose Co. Instead of rushing through production like fast fashion, which often leads to poor quality, wasted materials, and unfair working conditions, we choose a different path. Each collection is created with intention and care, moving at a slower pace so nothing feels forced or disposable. This allows us to minimize waste, focus on quality, and ensure every piece is made with purpose. Slow fashion is not about keeping up with trends, t is about creating clothing that lasts and holds meaning.

Local artisans

We are proud to work with local makers here in Calgary. Every pattern is cut by hand and then passed along to our seamstress, a mom who sews each piece with dedication and skill. Staying local means more than just keeping production close to home, it allows us to support families in our own community, maintain fair wages, and keep a transparent process from start to finish. By choosing local makers, we are able to build relationships, celebrate craftsmanship, and ensure every dress carries the care of the hands that made it.

Organic cotton

We choose organic cotton because it is better for both people and the planet. Unlike conventional cotton, organic cotton is grown without harmful pesticides or chemicals, making it safer for the farmers who grow it and healthier for the skin that wears it. Its breathable nature helps regulate temperature, keeping you comfortable in every season, while its softness feels gentle even against sensitive skin. Organic cotton is also stronger and more durable, meaning our dresses can be worn and loved for years without losing their beauty. And when you are snuggling your baby close, there is comfort in knowing the fabric touching their skin is pure, safe, and natural. By choosing organic cotton, we are choosing a fabric that supports wellness, sustainability, and lasting quality.
